| El Freish Mountain Garden Retreat is located in the center of the Sinai mountains, in Egypt, close to the holy mountains of Mt. Sinai and Mt. Katherine. The town of St. Katherine is easily reached by public transport, but if needed we can organize airport and hotel transfers, as well as hotel room bookings, within Egypt. HOW TO GET THERE From Cairo: There is an East Delta bus every morning departing from the Torgoman bus station and arriving in St. Katherine in the evening (40 LE). A taxi or hired microbus, organized on request, would cost around 500 - 600 LE. From Dahab: There are regular microbuses departing from the Jewel of Dahab Hotel twice a day (35 LE) and another one at night from the Mosque in Asala (50 LE). A taxi or hired microbus, organized on request, would cost around 250 - 300 LE. From Sharm el Sheikh, Nuweiba or Taba: There are regular buses to Dahab from where there are microbus services. A taxi or hired microbus, organized on request, would cost around 350 - 400 LE from Sharm el Sheikh, 200 - 250 LE from Nuweiba and 300 - 350 LE from Taba, one way. In St. Katherine: Programs are organized from the Mountain Tours Office, the office of Sheikh Mousa. Ask anyone in town, or call us for directions or to meet you. |
